Science helps define Human Problems
Stress is often talked about. In the scientific world stress has the same definition as pressure, which is force/area. We talk about the stresses of life, which is similar to science. We have to deal with intellectual, personal, relationship, and financial forces. These forces can be internal and external. Our ability to cope with these forces, and ensure that we are not subject to unnecessary stress is dependent our own ability to absorb these forces. As an analogy the broadness of our shoulders could be equivalent to the area in the stress calculation. With a greater self awareness and inner calm, we can make our “Shoulders Broader” and reduce the potential for personal stress. We can deal with these external forces better. With coaching and improved self awareness we can also deal with internal forces too.
